Plan Your Homestead Layout

Plan your Homestead layout in a 3D view. As you place housing items, the cells used, Homestead EXP, and items needed are calculated right away.

Basic use

Choose a Theme and Homestead Size in the toolbar.
Click a housing item in the list on the left to place it in the empty spot closest to where you are looking.
Click a housing item to select it, then drag it to move it. When it is selected, Rotate and Delete also appear at the bottom of the view, and for a housing item that has a miniature you can also open the Miniature info window. A housing item you just placed is already selected, so you can drag it right away.
Check the cells used, Homestead EXP, and Items needed in the right panel. Click an item image to open the item menu.

Drag anywhere other than the selected housing item to move the view. Drag with the right mouse button or two fingers to rotate it. Zoom with the wheel or two fingers.
The R key rotates the selected housing item, or the one under the mouse if nothing is selected. Right-click a housing item to remove it right away.
Move the selected housing item one cell at a time with the arrow keys, in the direction shown on screen, and remove it with the Delete or Backspace key. The Esc key deselects it.
Placing, moving, rotating, removing, and Reset can be undone with the toolbar's Undo button or Ctrl+Z, and redone with the Redo button or Ctrl+Y (Ctrl+Shift+Z).
Click a row in the Placed housing items list to move the view to that housing item.

The current layout is saved in this browser automatically and stays the same the next time you open the page. The chosen Homestead size and the settings in the list and panels are kept too.
To keep several layouts, enter a Layout name in Saved layouts and press Save. Click a name to load it.
The current layout and saved layouts are saved separately for each region.
Copy link copies a link that opens the current layout. It opens in the same region for the person who receives it. You don't need to sign in.
When you open a link, the layout you were editing stays at the top of Saved layouts as Layout before opening a link.

Press Register in the toolbar and sign in in the window that opens.
Enter a Name and press Register. A link that opens that Homestead is copied too.

In My Homesteads in the same window, you can copy a registered Homestead's link again, overwrite it with the current layout, or delete it.

Housing items above the Homestead level of the chosen Homestead size are hidden from the list at first. Turn off Hide housing items above this Homestead level to see them.
Housing items that can't be used with the current theme don't appear in the list.
Press Try in Homestead in the item menu to place that housing item on this page. If it can't be used with the current theme, the theme changes to one where it can.
When you change the Theme or Homestead Size, housing items that can't be placed on the new Homestead are removed. You can bring them back with Undo.
